Reception to Use Your Illusion I was mainly positive, and it is regarded as the more hard-rocking album of the two due in part to the influence of Izzy Stradlin. Use Your Illusion II is more serious and ambitious than I, but it's also considerably more pretentious.Featuring no less than four songs that run over six minutes, II is heavy on epics, whether it's the charging funk metal of "Locomotive," the antiwar "Civil War," or the multipart "Estranged." Use Your Illusion is a paper pieced quilt pattern built from 7 ½” x 7 ½” (7” x 7” finished) paper pieced blocks. The pattern contains instructions for two sizes of quilts, a wall (or baby) sized quilt and a lap quilt.
